Welcome to the DSPD news page. This page will be updated regularly with any recent major events that have occurred throughout the entire DSPD programme.

DSPD – Managerial, Clinical & Learning Groups

The Health Partnerships DSPD Programme has developed policy guidance, research, service plans and commissioned pilot services. This has happened in the context of a wider and growing interest in personality disorder, including comparable developments in non-forensic pilot services and workforce/training initiatives for personality disorder.

The DSPD programme is developmental and as a consequence the structure for its management and facilitation need regular review. The aim of the review is to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and fitness for purpose of the organisational arrangements for managing the programme.

The DSPD programme has established management and clinical forum through which pilot service delivery and clinical learning is facilitated and supported.

Learning and evidence gathering has been established through learning network and research meetings in which services, policy planners, researchers and commissioners all collaborate.

The latest of these meetings was held in May where colleagues from the Central team, High and Medium secure units got together to discuss progress so far and issues arising.
