High Security Estate Team of the Year 2007 The high security estate team of the year event was organised to recognise outstanding Teamwork across the high security estate. Nominations were submitted from each site in the following categories: • Operations and Security An approx. Total of 46 nominations were received An assessor was selected from each of the Sites to Select 3 finalists for each Category, selecting 18 Finalists to attend the High secure estate Conference and team of the year award dinner. Frankland were very successful with three Teams reaching the finalist stage. The winners of the six categories were selected by Steve Wagstaff Director of high security estate. Frankland Westgate were winners of the reducing re-offending categories with the custody office and Intelligence departments finishing as finalists in their respective categories of Administrative support and Operations and Security. From the six category winners Steve Wagstaffe selected an overall winner who was then announced as Team of the year for the high security estate. The overall winner was announced as HMP Frankland Westgate unit. There were many very good quality entries especially those involved in the vital terrorist related services that are operating in the estate. This is a superb result for Frankland and Obviously Westgate and was only achieved by outstanding contributions made by the team members over the last 4 years. This is also a reflection of the high regard that Westgate are held within the High secure estate. Westgate is without doubt a very effective and efficient Team who are forward thinking and flexible to change. This has not happened by accident and is the result of a lot of hard work by all the Westgate staff TEAM.
